This is the second instalment of cuteswarm poems – a series of tiny printed scrolls secured with coloured embroidery thread, each about an encounter between the author and an insect or other small invertebrate.
 
For volume 2, seven poems (this time, unlike volume 1, the same seven in each of the edition) are nestled into ivory tissue shreds in a candy-coloured square ‘drawer box’, bringing to mind wedding favours or sugared almonds. The title insert, like the label, is printed on recycled gold and silver fleck paper. A punched, cut-out butterfly shape reveals words from ‘Interlude’, an excerpt from Caroline’s ‘insect Interventions – and other small invertebrates’ journal, dated 29 October 2024.
